The Cliff Notes

Hi, I’m Jana — I'm married, a mom of two, a woman of faith, and a grateful traveler on the road of recovery. After years of silent struggle, I broke free from alcohol’s grip in my late 30s, and my life has been transformed in ways I never imagined. This blog is my open journal — a place for daily reflections, honest stories, and (mostly) gentle encouragement for anyone walking through their own storms. I believe healing starts within, hope is never out of reach, and your story is far from over.

MY PICK
OF THE MONTH

"Girl, Wash Your Face" really spoke to me because it’s honest, raw, and relatable. Rachel Hollis shares the lies she once believed about herself and how she learned to push past them, and it reminded me that I’m not alone in my struggles. The book felt like a wake-up call to stop making excuses, take responsibility for my own happiness, and believe that I deserve more out of life. It gave me both motivation and comfort—like having a friend cheering me on while being completely real at the same time.
